System banners

Enterprise plan feature

The system banners feature is only available to Buildkite customers on Enterprise plans.

Buildkite organization administrators can create announcement banners for their Buildkite organization. Banners are displayed to all members of the organization at the top of every page throughout the Buildkite interface.

You can use Markdown to format your message and link to other URLs or pages for more context.

Steps to creating a banner

  1. Ensure you are logged in as a Buildkite organization administrator.
  2. Access your Buildkite organization's Settings page from the global navigation.
  3. On the Organization Settings page, add a message to the System banners text box.
  4. Select Save Banner.

Programmatically creating a system banner

You can create a system banner programmatically via the GraphQL API.
