About The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to help shape a tool that thousands of developers use every day. You’ll help to break company and product objectives down into an actionable roadmap, helping to determine what we build, and why. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and designers on your team to prioritise and ship work effectively.

What your typical day may look like:

  • Working with engineers and designers to plan and prioritise work
  • Facilitating a Zoom call with an enterprise customer, summarizing the call and sharing the key insights
  • Log in to Productboard to do some backlog refinement based on new customer insights
  • Jump on a call with a support engineer to learn more about a new issue that customers are raising
  • Join a product practice sync, helping to shape and evolve the product practice at Buildkite by sharing your experiences and expertise
  • Identifying a range of ways to implement a new feature and writing up a post in Basecamp to communicate the tradeoffs involved in making a decision
  • Working with marketing to finalise the specifics of a product launch plan

This job is for you if you have:

  • Experience in a senior Product role within a fast-growing team
  • An understanding of the CI/CD ecosystem and associated technologies
  • Experience working closely with software engineers, and enjoy participating in the process of bringing product features to life
  • Understanding of programming languages and software development methodologies
  • Empathy and effective communication skills - We are a remote team, you’ll spend some time on Zoom and Basecamp communicating with the team

Submit an application
First step is submitting an application using Lever.
Screening interview
You’ll have an initial video call with a member of our People Operations team.
Second interview
You’ll meet with two people you’ll be working with.
Third interview
You’ll meet with the Team Lead, and our Head of Product.
Final interview
You’ll have one more video call with our Chief Product Officer to have a chat and talk through any final questions.
We’ll send you an offer and have a video call to go through all the details with you.

Home office & coworking

Set yourself up with a great work environment, either at home or in a co-working space, with a budget for a desk and chair, and a new computer and phone every 24 months. We’ll also cover the cost of plants, art, or anything else you need to set yourself up with a beautiful and productive work environment.

Wellness & paid time off

Take care of your health and wellbeing away from the screen, with 6 weeks of paid leave per year, the ability to take time out of work for fitness, and a yearly budget to spend on things like yoga, climbing, personal training, or a day at the zoo.
