About The Role
We are looking for an experienced community-centric Developer Advocate to activate our community and build, share and grow relevant technical content for developers. We’re looking for someone with technical chops and a deep understanding of building and growing developer communities. We’re looking for someone who always approaches others, participates and leads with empathy and compassion.
We’re at an exciting phase of growth at Buildkite and this is an opportunity to build our voice as we ignite passion in others for our products and values. In this role, you will work closely with our VP of Marketing to help us empower our community.
This job is for you if you have:
- Experience with DevOps, Buildkite, CI/CD, testing frameworks, config mgmt frameworks
- B2B software industry experience
- Ability to manage workloads with multiple competing priorities and deadlines
- Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop initiatives and stories that DevOps teams can ingest
- Experience working with a startup
- Understanding of coding languages/frameworks
Samples of what you’ll do:
- Generate technical content for product launches, live streams, contests, tutorials, webcasts, blogs and more
- Channel feedback to and from our community, customer advisory boards and more to stakeholders within Buildkite
- Create, monitor and facilitate engagement in social media, Slack and other relevant forums
- Manage, staff, speak, and engage community at events
- Share Buildkite success stories with developers and CI/CD users across the industry
- Where needed, jump in to help teammates on less technical content-related projects including newsletters, case studies and more
