About The Role

We're looking for a FP&A Manager to help unlock commercial insights within Buildkite. As a FP&A Manager you’ll be working in our Finance team, reporting to the VP of Finance. The role is instrumental in helping the finance team monitor our current financial position and to improve business performance. This role will act as a bridge between Finance and the rest of the company. We are looking for someone that is eager to investigate technologies that could be used to help facilitate this such as BI tools or dedicated FP&A tools.

As you grow in this role you’ll come to be regarded as a key source of truth at the company, answering questions like:

  • Where is our revenue growth coming from?

  • How much cash will we have in 18 months?

  • Which of our customers are churning?

  • What is our customer acquisition cost for different segments? 

  • What customers are profitable ?

What your typical week may look like:

  • Spreadsheeting. Lots of spreadsheeting.

  • Revenue operations and forecasting

  • Working with different teams to gather relevant data from across Buildkite

  • Turning data into actionable insights

  • Communicating insights to the company’s leadership team

  • Preparing monthly company-wide metrics snapshot analysis

  • Providing analysis for shareholder updates and board meetings

This job is for you if you have:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting/Business/Commerce

  • 3-5 years experience in a financial modelling role

  • SaaS company or startup experience

  • Killer Excel, GoogleSheet chops

  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills

  • An ambivert personality - as happy working with people as you are with spreadsheets

  • This job is for you if you are interested in working at a remote company

  • SQL Skills and experience implementing new tools a nice to have - an eagerness to learn a must.

$130,000 - $150,000 AUD

$145,000 - $170,000 NZD
